![]() #Ue boom speaker wattage fullHell guy's l was after something small for my daughters (14) room and thought I'll take a look at the beats. After buying her a pair of there monster beat headphones for around 400au and all so buying the sennheiser for around 37 au l found the sennheiser was much clearer at full volume in fact the monster beats sounded like tinny crap.So having that experience made my job easy. The beats ( pill )Sound the same! tinny and londness was shocking.l then set my eyes on the UE boom and there it was nice clear crisp loud sound. For true portability, durability and the ability to charge anywhere, the Boom wins. They completely flog the Bose Soundlink Mini and it's worth the hassle to plug them into the wall and connect them your phone/ipod by cable. I say that, but seriously, if it's for a fixed location, buy something like the Bose 2 way computer speakers for similar money. ![]() If you're after something that stays around the house, the Bose will be fine. I reckon the Boom could sit in the rain all night and still be fine. I wanted something to use around the house, to carry around town and to take camping and even kayaking. I happily went with the Boom though because here is the critical stuff the reviews don't always focus on: The Bose has half the battery, doesn't charge off USB, requires you to carry a proprietary charger around and isn't water/splash proof! The UE Boom goes at least 15 hours, charges off any old USB micro and is built to be heavily splashed, even having rubber plugs for the USB and 3.5mm jacks. I ran this off against the same-priced Bose and decided that the Bose was slightly better sound-wise. I've had one for 6 months and still love it. 0/10 for Logitech customer service is being generous. I don't have a beats pill (have the headphones), but I know Apple customer service and to me it's worth purchasing a pill over the boom any day. One look at Logitechs forum and Facebook page and you'll see how terrible their customer service is and how many people have booms that will not charge. I think 6 months ago people were probably happy with their boom. #Ue boom speaker wattage updateI'm stuck with really not wanting to update as I know it messes it up. How can I tell, well one thing the new update allowed, for, was remote power on/off via the iOS app. When I got the new speaker back, wrong colour of course, it,is running older software. After 3 weeks of waiting and calling numerous times, being lied to and being blamed, I finally recieved a shipping label to send mine in. Mine of course being brand new was covered under warranty. ![]() Even though they know it's a massive problem months later still no update. Logitechs forums are filled with the same story "my boom won't charge" Their reps blame it on the update. #Ue boom speaker wattage installYou need to install device driver and a special program to perform the update. It needs to be plugged into the computer. ![]() I really don't want a speaker I have to perform software updates on. After updating my 40 day old speaker it wouldn't charge again. Thousands of customers were left with $200 paper weights after a silly software update. Wow what a customer service nightmare Logitech has been. ![]()
